ABOUT ‘BLACK AMERICAN DAD FOUNDATION

Strong fathers make for strong families (and, by extension, strong communities). The Black American Dad Foundation’s bedrock is the belief that every African-American dad can be the best he can be for his children. Sometimes he needs a little extra help overcoming the obstacles that society puts in his way. This enthusiastic non-profit is a loving, contributing to the black community and specifically black fathers and their children.

How Black American Dad Foundation Helps

Black American Dad Foundation (B.A.D.) has a host of fun and helpful things for black fathers to benefit from, such as the B.A.D. Gift Program is an excellent way for financially disadvantaged dads to grab gifts that help them take better care of their children (or provide some memories and fun for their kids they couldn’t ordinarily afford).

Another program called B.A.D. Fit focuses on the health and wellness of black fathers. After all, the healthier you are, the better you feel while giving your children a great life. Fitness programs are also a lot of fun for the dads involved and provide them with a way to inspire each other—health matters. Throughout the years, many programs, such as fitness classes or marathon-type events, let black fathers learn more about eating and exercising more healthily.

B.A.D. jobs help black fathers find jobs and career paths that are right for them and their children. They can help dads build a resumé, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, or discover training opportunities. The goal is to help fathers be “job-ready.” A job is the pathway to independence and taking care of children. It’s a “best life” opportunity. The Black American Dad Foundation continues to help so many fathers in the community find careers that make them happy.

This organization continues to come up with new programs around the clock. Their goal is to inspire black fathers to lead their best lives and share that joy and inspiration with their children. You’ll also find the organization helps children too. Giving dads an avenue to succeed provides the children with a much better life as well. Whether it’s just providing for basic needs or helping a black dad find his dream job, this group goes the extra mile for the people they help.
