HOW TO CHANGE BATTERY IN INFINITI KEY FOB

A key fob is a device used to control the accessibility of a vehicle. The key fob has in-built authentication that secures and controls access to data and network services. One of the benefits of owning an INFINITI model is the intelligent key that can help you navigate easily. This device has a battery that requires replacement when it dies. There are different types of batteries you can use in the key fob. Not all battery can be used in this device; therefore, you need to have the right battery. The type of key fob you have will determine the battery you need. The CR2025 is the battery to use for an INFINITI key fob, while CR2032 is a battery type used in key fobs developed to operate with the intelligent Key of INFINITI. Follow the steps below to replace your battery.

Press the Release Tab

The released tab is at the key fobs back. On pressing it, you can pull out the metal key with ease. Once the key is removed, carefully open the small panel located below. You will see the INFINITI battery housed at this stage.

Use a Screwdriver

The best screwdriver to use when opening the housing is one that is flathead. Wrap the end of the screwdriver with a little tape to ensure your fob is not damaged or scratched in the process removing the dead battery.

Replace the Dead Battery

After ensuring you have the right battery, it’s now time to replace it. Ensure you position it the right way for it to function. The positive side face should be positioned down in the fob. Attach the small panels that you had removed and insert back the metal key together with the release tab. If everything is intact, then you are ready to drive with your INFINITI key fob.

If you detect any key fob or push-button start issue, consider the following tips to troubleshoot the problem. When your vehicle is not starting, you can closely consider using the key fob to reduce the amount of energy required to send signals.
