HOW TO USE THE QX60 MOTION-ACTIVATED LIFTGATE?

One of the best things about purchasing a new vehicle is acquiring all of the latest technology features that are on the market. INFINITI is well known for making sure they include everything that they possibly can in their new inventory. One convenient feature that is included in the QX60 is the motion-activated liftgate. It might not seem like a big deal, but when you stumble to your vehicle with your hands full, you will appreciate being able to open your trunk without having to put anything down.

It’s extremely easy to use, it’s convenient, and it’s included in the QX60 and other INFINITI vehicles. Perfect for the busy mom and perfect for the business professional that is always coming and going, the motion-activated liftgate is a feature that you’ll fall in love with. If you haven’t quite figured out how to use this feature, let’s talk more about how it works.

As long as you have your keys in your hand or on you, you’ll be able to activate the liftgate without the use of your hands. When you arrive at the back of your vehicle, you’re going to be aiming for the sensor that is just underneath your back bumper. It’s centered on your license plate. With a quick motion of your leg and foot, your vehicle will sense that you want to open your liftgate.

After it opens, you can access your vehicle for as long as needed. When you are ready to close it back up, you’ll use the exact same motion. This time, you’ll hear a series of short beeps before the trunk starts to close. Make sure that you stand back in order to give the lid complete clearance for closing. If you’re in the way, don’t worry. Your vehicle isn’t going to close with you still in the pathway of the trunk lid.
