WHICH CAR LED THE 2018 BOSTON MARATHON?

The 2019 INFINITI QX50 led the race to the finish line. The QX50 crossover marked the pace of the 2018 Boston marathon. INFINITI sponsored the event along with the Boston Athletic Association’s 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races.

The Boston Marathon has become a vehicle not only for sports but for service. This Year of Service began on Patriots’ Day as community heroes were honored for dedicating their lives to the service of others. Deb Kerr, a Semper Fi Fund volunteer, is one of those heroes. As part of the BAA recognition of her service on behalf of injured military members, INFINITI chose her to drive the QX50 crossover as it led the race.

The automaker also donated $10,000 to the Semper Fi Fund. INFINITI is helping other ways, as well. It sponsored VIP tents for Distance Medley event runners. Also, there was an interactive lounge, featuring the QX50 and other vehicles, at the finish line in Copley Square. INFINITI chose the 2019 QX50 for the marathon in recognition of its entirely new build and a remarkable new engine.
