‘OCEAN OF LIGHT: SUBMERGENCE’ IS A MUST-SEE EXHIBIT IN SCOTTSDALE

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is showcasing a beautiful exhibit between now and September: Ocean of Light: Submergence.

This exquisite exhibition is a gorgeous and fantastical experience that “uses light-based data visualization to create an augmented reality environment that challenges the spatial and the sculptural.”

At the exhibit, guests will tour a space that features long strands of LED lights and intermixed sounds that provide a very unique visual and auditory experience.

The exhibit was created by the U.K.-based art collective, Squidsoup, which uses this unique art form to showcase “how immense data can be.” Their light shows are truly a distinctive experience and should be a must-see event for all Phoenix-area art lovers.

According to their website, “Squidsoup is a UK-based international group of artists, researchers, technologists and designers working with digital and interactive media experiences. Our work combines physical and dynamic virtual spaces with novel and intuitive forms of interaction to produce immersive, responsive and beguiling experiences.”

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for this one-of-a-kind local event that should be a wonderful time for the whole family!
