SIX ITEMS YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR CAR

Having the right tools in your car can be of the utmost importance. From basic safety to helping in an actual emergency, it’s important that your new INFINITI car or SUV is properly stocked. Below, we’ve made a list of some of the most important items you should always have in your car.

Flashlight.
A flashlight is one of those ubiquitous items that you won’t realize you need…until you do. From finding fallen jewelry under your car’s seat to helping you change a flat tire in the dark, your car should never be without a working flashlight.

Emergency First-Aid Kit.
Again, you’ll never realize you need this item, until the day you actually need to use it, but it’s important to always have a first-aid kit available in your car. Stocked with Band-Aids, bandages and ointment, first-aid kits can be a lifesaver after an accident.

Water Bottle.
Unless you’re driving just down the block, its best to make sure you have a filled water bottle in your car. Breakdowns, traffic jams and accidents can cause you to be in or near your car for hours, a time that can lead to serious dehydration if you don’t have anything to drink. Summers in Phoenix are particularly brutal, and can get pretty dangerous when you’re waiting for a tow truck by the side of the road.

As the old saying goes, you should hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. A safety hammer, especially one equipped with a seatbelt cutter, can be a lifesaving tool if you’re ever in a bad accident. Keep this in your glove compartment for easy access.

Empty Fuel Can.
This is one of those prepare for the worst items, but we highly recommend having an empty fuel can in your car in case you ever find yourself out of gas, especially if you’re in an unfamiliar part of town.

Jumper Cables.
At some point during your driving life, you will probably need to jump start your car, which is why its imperative to have jumper cables in your trunk for such an occasion.
