INFINITI QX80 Reimagined with QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec Showcasing SUV Potential

The INFINITI QX80 remains one of the top-rated large SUVs on the market today. During Monterey Car Week at The Quail, INFINITI recently presented two new QX80 concept models: the QX80 Track Spec and the QX80 Terrain Spec. The Track Spec is engineered to highlight exhilarating on-road performance, while the Terrain Spec is designed to enhance off-road capability. Though these concepts are not currently planned for production, they provide an intriguing preview of what the future of the QX80 could hold.
QX80 Track Spec
The QX80 Track Spec features an upgraded 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. Enhancements to the turbo system and a performance-oriented exhaust help drive output beyond 650 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque, according to INFINITI estimates. This powertrain delivers quick, confident acceleration, complemented by a track-tuned chassis that improves handling response. Large Brembo brakes contribute to precise and dependable stopping power.
From a visual perspective, the QX80 Track Spec stands out with a bold, athletic presence. A redesigned rear diffuser and quad exhaust outlets underline its performance focus. The matte black-blue exterior wrap adds a distinctive finish, while exclusive 24-inch wheels complete the concept’s aggressive stance.
QX80 Terrain Spec
Built for exploration, the QX80 Terrain Spec is tailored for drivers who enjoy heading off the beaten path. This concept comes equipped with all-terrain tires, off-road-specific wheels, and a raised ride height to better manage uneven terrain. Invisible Hood View technology improves visibility on the trail, allowing drivers to better identify obstacles ahead. Even with its rugged setup, the Terrain Spec maintains a comfortable driving experience.
The QX80 Terrain Spec also features rugged, adventure-ready styling. Sturdy fender flares and a roof-mounted lightbar emphasize its off-road personality, while a side-exit exhaust enhances its muscular appearance. A satin dark basalt vinyl wrap adds to its tough aesthetic, and the integrated pop-up tent offers added convenience for outdoor adventures.
